Luscombe Associations

Luscombe owners are blessed with two choices to further their knowledge. Many owners and Luscombe fans join both, because each organization is different.

The Continental Luscombe Association is a true owners organization, with a big focus on community and getting together. It's a great way to meet fellow owners in your area, via local chapters.

On the other hand, the Luscombe Association is known for their newsletter, which contains a wealth of technical data.

Continental Luscombe Association

The only true owners association, this type club is noted for the annual fly-in in Columbia, CA. The most current information about the CLA is found at their website at www.luscombe-cla.org.

Why should you join? Reasons are many, but the top ones include:

  • A bi-monthly newsletter, packed with information
  • The annual Gathering of Luscombes in Columbia, CA each May. You won't believe until you attend, but suffice it to say that other type clubs aspire to imitate our party!
  • A network of local Luscombe owners that you might not otherwise discover. In other words, the power of local chapters.
  • A voice with the FAA and others as regulations are drawn up that will govern the imminent re-certification of your aircraft.
  • The only true owners association for Luscombes. Participation in the CLA is your admission to regional and national social gatherings.

Luscombe Association

The oldest Luscombe organization around, the Luscombe Association publishes a bi-monthly newsletter for Luscombe owners and prospective owners. This newsletter captures decades of expertise about the aircraft, as well as its care and feeding (back issues available and highly recommended). In addition, the newsletter includes the DLAHF newsletter -- also published on the same schedule.

Among the many resources available, the Luscombe Association has 337s for almost every engine conversion out there, as well as data sheets on the original Type Certificate (in order to determine what's legal or not), etc., etc. Email us for a list.

Membership
Annual dues are $25 for first class mailing, U.S., $25 USD for Canada and $30 for foreign. Back issues are available. Contact Sharon and Steve Krog (see below). VISA and Mastercard accepted.
