Solo - After walking this earth for 50 years my dream of flying above it had been realized! I was now able to call myself a pilot. Matt my instructor met me on the ramp and I think his smile was almost as big as mine. It had taken 19 hours to get to this point and there had been a lot of frustration on my part getting here. Matt stuck by me and gave me the confidence I needed. Thanks Matt!
I went on to pass my Phase 1 check and during my next solo flight the landing thing 'clicked'. Now it is time to finish this PPL thing. Date of solo, March 19, 2005.
